Is there any preparation for a CT Body Screen?

No. There are no dyes, no needles, no fasting and no pain. The only preparation required for the Body Screen is for the patient to complete a standard medical history questionnaire at the time of his appointment.

How long does the exam take?

Patient registration and a thorough medical history questionnaire take about 20-30 minutes. The CT scan takes 15-20 minutes. The scanner acquires a series of images of your abdomen and pelvis while you hold your breath in brief intervals.

How long do I have to wait for results?

A comprehensive report is sent to you via U.S. mail within three to four business days

What is the cost and is it covered by insurance?

The cost of the CT Body Screen is $400.  This amount is payable at the time of your appointment.  As with most screening tests, a Body Screen is not covered by insurance or Medicare at the present time.
